Since the tragic news that his helicopter crashed in Calabasas, California was released yesterday afternoon, there have been endless celebrities paying tribute to Kobe Bryant. The accident killed the 41-year-old NBA legend, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna, and seven others.

Bryant's passing came as a shock to people all over the world. The tragedy occurred on the same day as the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards, which took place at the Los Angeles Staples Center where the father of four used to play for the LA Lakers until 2016.

The host of last night's event, Alicia Keys, took a moment to pay tribute to the fallen legend, saying, "We never in a million years imagined we'd have to start the show like this, so we wanted to do something that could describe, a tiny bit, how we all feel right now."

Keys was then joined by Boyz II Men as they sang "It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday."

Other celebrities also paid tribute to Bryant throughout the ceremony, and even stars who weren't attending the Grammys last night have taken time to share their condolences and feelings about the tragedy across platforms like Instagram and Twitter.

Lilly Singh

Late-night host Lilly Singh shared a touching tribute to Bryant and his daughter on Instagram, writing, “The world mourns for a legend, his daughter and other precious lives today. Love and light to all their families. My heart is heavy. Kobe. Gigi. ❤️ 🙏🏽 (thank you for this beautiful piece @inkquisitive)”.

Justin Bieber

Bieber shared an older photo of him and Bryant, captioning it, “It can't be. You always encouraged me mamba. Gave me some of the best quotes that we smile about to this day.! Love you man!”

Drake

NBA superfan Drake took the time to mourn the loss of Bryant as well, posting a photo of his Farewell Mamba jacket from 2016, when the all-star player retired. “😤😔🥺 it can’t be”, Drizzy wrote.

Giacomo Gianniotti

Giacomo Gianniotti shared a beautiful and heartfelt message with fans on Instagram yesterday, praising everything that Bryant accomplished in his 41 years of life.

“So sad beyond words, this man’s legacy will remain for centuries. Let’s all keep Kobe, his family, and also all the others involved in this horrific tragedy in our thoughts. Sending love to all. Nothing to say but a very sad day. Rest in power,” the actor wrote.

Shenae Grimes-Beech

Shenae Grimes-Beech took a moment to speak on the importance of father-daughter relationships, and how seeing Gigi and Kobe Bryant pass together made her value her husband and daughter’s bond even more.

“A daddy and daughter’s relationship is so unique and precious and it’s obvious that the one these two souls shared was that of the best kind. I’m so grateful that I have the privilege of witnessing that in my own home every day,” the 90210 actress shared.

Simu Liu shared a thoughtful post with his fans, speaking on how Bryant was one of his heroes and that he had hoped to meet him one day.

“Maybe I wanted so badly to believe that I could be like you. But that is your legacy; you made everyone want to dominate the way you did. No one can. No one will. You were taken from us far too soon Kobe & Gianna. Rest in Peace.”

Raptors superfan Nav Bhatia posted a particularly emotional video today of his last interaction with Bryant, during the player’s last game in Toronto.

“For some unexplained reason he decided to come by my seat. I thanked him for everything he had done for the game and how much he inspired kids. He thanked me for doing the same. I was humbled. I was in awe. We lost an incredible person today. This is going to sting for a long time,” Bhatia captioned his post.

Winnie Harlow

Winnie Harlow was one of those lucky enough to meet Bryant in his lifetime, and the model shared a video of an epic moment they shared together, along with an inspiring message.

“You told me a few years back when I was questioning my place in the fashion industry that I was going to ‘do epic shit’ and to never let what the world says get to me. [You] told me to read Jonathan Livingston Seagull because Michael Jackson told you to and it inspired you. You inspired me With your kindness. the memory of Mamba lives on.”

Cleveland Cavaliers player Tristan Thompson was heartbroken by the news of Bryant’s passing and even suggested that every NBA team retire #8 and #24 in honour of Kobe’s legacy.

The Vampire Diaries actress Nina Dobrev was also touched by the tragic news. “Heartbroken by the news. There is a worldwide wave of sadness today. Such an unimaginable tragedy. My heart goes out to the families. I’m at a loss for words... 💔,” she wrote on Instagram.
