Charlize Theron Tells Ellen She Gained 50 Pounds For A Movie From Eating This Everywhere She Went
Wow.

We’ve all heard of actor and actresses who go to extreme lengths to get into character for the role they have to play in a movie.
Charlize Theron is clearly one of those people. On Ellen Degeneres' show yesterday Theron revealed that she gained an enormous amount of weight to play a role.
And she did it by mainly eating one thing everywhere she went.
That thing would be potato chips “I ate a lot of everything, but my drug of choice is potato chips,” said the actress. “I had a bag in my car, a bag in the bathroom, a bag in the kitchen, a bag on the couch, a bag in my trailer, everywhere I went there was just a bag.”
Theron says that she gained 50 lbs for her role in “Tully” where she plays a mother-of-two named Marlo who is completely overwhelmed with her life.
She says the did this so that she could completely get into the character she was playing, saying that most women do this in their lives.
“They get pregnant and they gain all that weight, it takes them a year and a half to lose it and if they don’t they get judged.”
“I feel like I had to do it for the film. For myself as an actor I wanted to feel as much as I possibly could.”
If you watch the clip of her and Ellen you can see that Theron has lost the weight since filming the movie.
A process that she describes as “brutal.”
