Demi Lovato Just Released A New Song About Her Addictions And Fans Think She's Relapsed
We don't know what to think.
Demi Lovato is known for how open she is with her struggles. She definitely is not one to hold back on what she is feeling, but until her recent documentary called Simply Complicated, fans were in the dark about a lot of stuff in her life. From when she actually completely got sober to what she did when she was under the influence, that documentary really told her story in an amazing way.
However, it seems as though she may have more to tell. Demi just released a new song called 'Sober', and the lyrics are very raw and real. Here are some of the lyrics in the song:
"Momma, I'm so sorry I'm not sober anymore
And daddy, please forgive me for the drinks spilled on the floor
To the ones who never left me
We've been down this road before
I'm so sorry, I'm not sober anymore"
For those who have not followed her journey, Demi admitted in her documentary that she entered rehab in 2010 after punching one of her backup dancers in the face. She would do drugs, such as drink alcohol as well as smoke weed and cocaine, and that was the last straw for her. She got out of rehab, and ultimately relapsed and said she would even sneak cocaine onto planes because she couldn't be without it.
Demi has done two documentaries before, one of which was made in 2012 and called 'Stay Strong'. She admitted in her recent documentary that she was high that entire documentary. She has been super open about the importantance of working out, friends and family, and just taking it day by day this time trying to stay sober. However, fans believe that this song is about her relapsing again.
In the above picture, which was posted by one of Demi's best friends, you can see that a drink is blurred out of her hand. Fans speculated that she was drinking alcohol and hiding it, but Demi was quick to say that it was Redbull. Now, fans have more of a reason to call her out because of the lyrics of this song.
You can view the comments and the Sober lyric video below, but at the end of the song, the lyrics read "I'm sorry that I'm here again. I promise I'll get help. It wasn't my intention. I'm sorry to myself" which definitely makes us think she has relapsed. Either way, we wish her the very best in her recovery.
