A lot of people use the new year as a fresh start to set goals and try to achieve them. While this Canadian artist did mention a goal for 2020, he also thought that ringing in the decade would also be the perfect time to show off his new look. However, his social media followers aren't exactly getting the hype. Drake's Instagram comments after ear piercing are the best things you'll read all day.

The first photo he posted with his new piercing was earlier this week where he made a toast to, "another year of taking my work home with me" with his location set in Toronto, Ontario.

Instagram users couldn't help but notice the new addition to his jewellery collection saying things like, "Someone stepped up their earring game to full grown man levels" and "Bro, when did you get your ears pierced? 😂😂😂."

While the comments on his first post started off harmless, people were done being nice after he posted two more pics of himself turned away from the camera, showcasing his earring.

Someone started off by saying, "The man got his ears pierced and don’t know how to act ..... in two months cuz gone have the CAMRONS 😂🤣😂🤣"

While others accused him of just trying to show off, "Can’t stop showing them lobes, you on yo DJ Khaled pose phase now? Lmao."

Forget 6ix God, someone has deemed his new nickname as, "Fred Flintstones💎."

This isn't the first time Drake has dedicated multiple Instagram posts to a piece of jewellery. However, people didn't seem to mind Drake parading his $150,000-dollar Raptors championship ring back in October.

Drake ended off 2019 under fire for his inclusion of the Toronto Chair Girl in his latest music video and for his comments on Rihanna and Chris Brown's past relationship.

So far, at least on Instagram, 2020 hasn't been much different.
