Peter Kraus broke all of our hearts yesterday when he posted this sweet, sweet Instagram in response to Arie being announced as The Bachelor.\n#tbt to the most incredible journey of this life time that has now officially come to an end today. As I sit here writing this, I struggle to hold back the tears as I am overcome with emotion one last time. First and foremost.. Rachel, there are so very many things that I've wished I could say to you since the day we parted ways in Spain, but for everyone's sake, I'll keep it short... You gave me a chance and all that I can say is thank you. I have a heart filled with love for you now and always and wish you nothing but the best in your life and love ahead. ABC, you saw something in me, but something held me back. You treated me with such love and kindness and showed me glimpses of a life I never once dreamed that I could have. I will be forever humbled and grateful and will always look back at these last 6 months with an ear to ear smile, knowing that this has truly been a very special life indeed. Upon leaving the @bacheloretteabc I was asked, "what did you learn about yourself during this process?" And at the time I naively said "nothing that I can think of." Now... looking back... I realize I learned one of the single greatest teachings of my life; When you let uncertainty or fear guide your decisions, you risk missing out on what could potentially be the greatest opportunity of a life time. So live dangerously, live without the fear of the unknown, and continue to live and love with a heart that is truly open to anything. #thankyou #lovealwaysA post shared by Peter J Kraus (@peterkrauswi) on Sep 7, 2017 at 2:08pm PDT\nAs a Bachelor fan and Peter-lover, I got a little misty eyed at the sincere and sweet message. The post itself accumulated over 126,000 likes and close to 9,000 comments, as Bachelor Nation shared their sympathies with the personal trainer. Millions of fans were saddened by ABC's decision to cast in a different direction - by choosing Arie Jr. From Emily Maynard's season - and aren't afraid to let producers know.\nvia @ariejr\nIn contrast, Arie's announcement Instagram racked up a mere 15,000 likes and a 1,000 comments, suggesting that Peter has a much bigger fan base and following. Fans have even gone as far to say they 'won't watch' Arie, in solidarity for Peter. Viewers might not be watching anyways considering all of the dirt that's surfaced on the once 'squeaky-clean' race-car driver - click here for deets.\nA Bachelor nation divided against itself cannot stand!!— Mike Fleiss (@fleissmeister) September 7, 2017\nProducers have seem to caught wind of Bachelor Nation's sadness and seem to be willing to mend our hearts. Maybe with Peter's heartfelt post yesterday, execs are reconsidering their choice to make Arie the only Bachelor..\nBachelor Nation was shocked when Britt Nilsson and Kaitlyn Bristowe competed against each other for the role of The Bachelorette. The franchise had used the move once before in 2004 for The Bachelor, though today's viewers probably aren't aware. In both seasons, Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants had to vote on which woman or man they wanted to pursue - with Bachelor Nation also weighing in with their opinions.\nExecutive Mike Fleiss left us with this hint at what's to come:\nWe aren't done with the shocking announcements... #TheBachelor— Mike Fleiss (@fleissmeister) September 7, 2017\nHere's hoping they changed their minds and are bringing Peter in for a dramatic ~double~ season. Fingers crossed!
