If you found yourself online at any point this weekend, you probably heard a thing or two about the ongoing drama between Scooter Braun and Taylor Swift. There's a lot to unravel in this situation, but essentially the internet is divided on whose side to take, although Justin Bieber has made it clear he's sticking with his manager. Canadian choreographer says Justin Bieber underpaid her amid Scooter Braun scandal.

Emma Portner is the creative genius we can thank for the choreography on Bieber's 2016 Purpose World Tour. She also appeared in the Purpose: The Movement film, which chronicled the events leading up to the tour.

On Monday, July 1st, Portner took to Instagram to share a message about her experience working with Bieber. She said that she was being paid "less than minimum wage" while working, and was "sweeping studio floors to be able to practice [her] craft."

The comments come from Portner after Bieber posted on Instagram, defending his longtime manager, Scooter Braun for claims being made about him by Taylor Swift. Portner went on to say, "The way you degrade women is an abomination.”

Portner also happens to be married to Canadian actress Ellen Page, and as an openly gay woman, she also slammed Bieber for being a part of the Hillsong church, which Portner says has anti LGBTQ+ views. Her wife has also previously spoken out about the church.

Page Six has reached out to Bieber's team for a comment on the ongoing situation but has yet to hear back. However, a source did tell the magazine that Bieber "wasn't even privy" to how budgets were being distributed during the tour.

Seeing as he has a net worth of roughly $265 million, it definitely wouldn't hurt Bieber to pay his choreographer (and the rest of his team, of course), a fair salary, but if he genuinely didn't know about the situation, it's hard to place blame solely on him.

Because he was so public about his message to Swift, we're anticipating that Bieber may also make a direct comment to Portner on social media, although only time will tell.
