If you were wondering if today would be the day a Kardashian wouldn't be in the news, it's not. The Kardashian of the day that everyone is talking about is Kendall Jenner and her new controversial advertisement with Adidas. This isn't the model's first controversial ad in her lifetime, let alone this year as she's gotten backlash for both her Vogue India cover as well as her Pepsi campaign both earlier this year. In the new Adidas Originals campaign that she recently posted to her Instagram it looks like she is supposed to be a part of a science fiction based scene. Quite honestly though we think it looks like she's in a body bag. via @adidasoriginals It didn't take long until the release of the first promotional photo sparked some serious controversy. With people claiming a "true athlete deserves her place" and that Adidas should be promoting people with athletic silhouettes instead of model silhouettes. The overlying annoyance people had with the ad was that a sports brand had teamed up with a model who's family had gotten her famous to promote sports apparel but has never been an athlete. Kendall isn't the first famous model to be the face of a sports brand, with her younger sister Kylie promoting Puma and Gigi Hadid being the face of Reebok. Yet these famous models seem to attract the same negative attention when it comes to becoming the face of athletic apparel brands:
