You may remember Steph Shep from various Kim Kardashian Instagrams, or episodes of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. Shepard has been a part of the Kardashian team since 2013, shortly before Kim gave birth to her first child, North.\nvia @steph_shep\nShepard began working for Kardashian almost immediately, clocking long hours and learning as she went along. "I was doing her whole schedule, doing her laundry, booking travel, putting the stroller together and all of these things. But I wasn’t nervous. I was just excited, always staying longer than I needed because I was trying to prove myself — and then North came early! I was a brand new assistant who had no idea what to do with a baby, but we all moved into Kris' house, and she was the one who made it all feel okay and moved mountains for us."\nvia @steph_shep\nShepard is close with all of the Kardashian sisters, not just Kim. Apparently her and Kourtney share a relationship so close that Shepard confided in her about 'out-growing' her assistant role, which did not please Kim in the slightest. Despite her discomfort, Kim decided to promote Steph Shep to her desired position: Chief Operating Officer of Kim Kardashian West Brands. That includes Kimoji, The KKW Contour Sticks and any other non-Keeping Up With The Kardashian projects.\nvia @steph_shep\nAfter an attempt at being COO of Kim's business, Kim was not satisfied with Steph's performance. “Kim made a decision to let Stephanie go,” a source says. “She was a good assistant but when Stephanie wanted to transition into a larger role with Kim’s brand and businesses, it just didn’t work. Kim gave her the chance but after a short period of time it became clear that Stephanie just didn’t have the knowledge to take on a role like that. Kim made an executive decision to part ways.”\nvia @steph_shep\nIt wasn't just the 'promotion' that made Kim drop her long-time employee. Kim wasn't all too enthused when Steph Shep 'spilled all' to Refinery 29 about the Kardashians, Jenners and Wests. In just a short period of months, Shepard went from being Kim's right-hand-woman to a virtual stranger. Apparently their professional relationship has been dwindling since May. It's rumoured that Kim let Shep go within the past month as sources claim the two haven't spoke since. Coincidentally, Steph was photographed at Kendall's 22nd birthday but was notably absent at Kim's baby shower.\nvia @steph_shep\nIt's uncertain what kind of career Shep will have without the famous family in her back pocket but considering she has a fanbase of nearly a million followers on Instagram? We're sure she'll be just fine.
