Could he BE any more like Chandler Bing? After months of speculation, a Friends reunion was announced by HBO and this former cast member is bringing his character back to life through social media. Matthew Perry’s Friends comments on Instagram are giving users all the Chandler Bing vibes.

This past Sunday night, Courteney Cox decided to make light of her quarantine situation by posting a fun TikTok. The 55-year-old actress shared a video of herself attempting a dance trend circulating the platform and jokingly questioned whether this was the reason her boyfriend and teenage daughter were “ignoring her”.

She captioned the video, “Could this be why Coco and Johnny are socially distancing themselves from me? #bored #quarentine.”

Perry, however, did anything but ignore her. Instead, he seemed concerned about her wellbeing in the video, “Hi honey, what the hell just happened?”

Fans in the comments couldn’t help but notice how similar his tone was to Chandler Bings, “I can actually hear Chandler in that tone of voice!” His comment as of now has over 120,000 likes.

Someone even thought that maybe Perry was still holding onto his past television persona, “Matty might leave Chandler but Chandler can't leave Matty.”

Other Instagram users see no difference between Perry and Bing commenting, “CHANDLER BEING CHANDLER😂.”

Perry wasn’t the only one being compared to his Friends character on social media. People also thought Cox was giving off some major Monica Geller vibes, “It's Monica’s dance 🔥.”

The term “Mondler” was also used in the comment section from fans reminiscing about their character’s onscreen love story, “this comment just made my day... 😘 mondler.”

Cox has yet to respond to Perry’s comment.

Although the 90s sit-com wrapped back in 2004, these two onscreen lovebirds have had multiple reunions over the years. From visiting him on-set of other jobs to having dinner with the rest of the Friends cast, the two have kept in contact.

The reunion special confirmed by HBO Max will include all six original cast members Perry and Cox, along with Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, and Matt LeBlanc.

Although it isn’t the reboot fans have been speculating, it is an unscripted tell-all about their time on set. It’s also scheduled to be filmed on their original sound stage and at Warner Brothers Studios.

The hour-long special is set to be released this coming May.
