Meghan Markle has never been a stranger to fashion trends, Jessica Mulroney is her stylist after all, and it still looks like she's hip with the kids. If you've been a Canadian teenager in the last ten years than you definitely know the clothing store Aritzia. Meghan Markle's Young World Summit dress is from Canadian brand Aritzia. The Aritzia dress she wore was purple and fitted, falling just below her knee. It had an autumn, casual, sweater dress vibe that still managed to look beautiful at the same time. The stunningness of the dress isn't the only thing that makes the outfit special. Aritzia is actually a Canadian company, meaning the dress was either sent to her from across the ocean or she's had it since her Toronto days filming Suits. We do know that Aritzia was one of her favourite stores while living in Canada, she was spotted there often! But Markle succeeded in putting on a brave face to welcome all 2000 young people from all over the world. Before the event, she took to the social media account she shares with her husband to post a throwback of her time at the summit last year. She heavily preached about empowering women saying, “I think what scares people is this idea female empowerment is somehow threatening. No, it’s not. Empower the women, you’re empowering the community.” She went on to say, "I think anything is possible because, with my small voice at 11 years old, we could do it, so I can only imagine what all of you are going to be able to do.” View this post on Instagram The Duchess of Sussex will attend @OneYoungWorld opening ceremony this evening to continue her support for this amazing collective of global youth ambassadors. Her Royal Highness was a counsellor for OYW in Dublin in 2014 as well as in Ottawa in 2016. This evening she again joins world leaders and activists to celebrate the youth of today as they tackle some of the world’s greatest problems. She is proud to attend as Vice President of The Queens Commonwealth Trust and to continue her long-standing commitment to this very important summit. Later this week The Duchess will hold a round table discussion with several of the OYW young leaders to address the issue of gender equity worldwide, and how we can all play our part to reach equality for all.
