If you haven't already heard, Oprah Winfrey absolutely STOLE THE SHOW at the Golden Globes last night.\nAfter accepting the Cecil B. DeMille award at the 75th Annual Golden Globes, the mogul and general all-around incredible human being addressed the reality of creating necessary change while painting a hopeful picture for the future in her acceptance speech.\nReferencing the #MeToo movement, a part of which encourages women to share their stories of sexual misconduct in the workplace and elsewhere, Winfrey said: "I want all the girls watching here and now to know that a new day is on the horizon, and when that new day finally dawns it will be because of a lot of magnificent women — many of whom are right here in this room tonight — and some pretty phenomenal men fighting hard to make sure that they become the leaders who take us to the time where nobody ever has to say 'me too' again," she said."\nThe result of her speech was a tearful standing ovation from everyone in the room, and everyone at home.\nHave you come down from the euphoria yet? Not many people have.\nOprah's killer speech has left most of the Internet wondering if the world-renowned philanthropist would consider running for president. And as it turns out, she is.\nStedman Graham, her partner, told The Los Angeles Times writer Amy Kaufman: "It's up to the people. She would absolutely do it."\nI asked Stedman if @oprah would run for President. "It's up to the people. She would absolutely do it." https://t.co/rAficpB060\n— Amy Kaufman (@AmyKinLA) January 8, 2018\nThat's right, Oprah's long-time partner has pretty much confirmed that if America's people wanted her as their president, she would do it. And that's not all. Today, two of Oprah's closest friends told CNN on Monday that she was "actively thinking" about running for the Democratic Party's presidential nomination in 2020. Yes, that's right everyone. Oprah damn Winfrey is actively thinking about running the United States of America. Hallelujah!\nIt’s about time we had a strong and intelligent woman leading the way and encouraging young women to follow suit. She's intelligent, caring, and philanthropic - qualities that a president should possess.\nMark November 3rd, 2020 in your calendars, everyone. Oprah Winfrey has my vote.
