We love to see celebrities really get in the mood for Halloween and share photos of their insane costumes on social media. When you have a full-time make-up artist working for you, it seems like it would be easy to pull off any look. Pamela Anderson's Halloween costume look was shared in some photos on Thursday, October 31. They were certainly scary for some Twitter users but not in the way you'd expect. Pamela Anderson's verified Twitter account @pamfoundation has 1.1 million followers. On Halloween, she posted two black and white photos that have been drawing a lot of attention. The photos are simply captioned "Happy Halloween" with the ghost emoji added in for good measure. Many Twitter users turned ghost white when they saw the photos. One shows Anderson's upper body drizzled with paint while she holds what looks like an indigenous headdress. In the second photo, she's wearing the headdress while looking back at the camera. While the comments started rolling in, not all were complimentary. Some people are calling out Anderson for cultural appropriation and for disrespecting Indigenous culture by wearing the headdress. Take a look at her Halloween photos and see if you can spot why commenters on Twitter are fired up. Pamfoundation | Twitter Pamfoundation | Twitter Anderson is not the only Canadian celebrity whose questionable Halloween costumes have drawn attention for the wrong reasons. Earlier this year, Trudeau's brownface scandal went viral. Pamela Anderson actually recently appealed to the Prime Minister by asking him to feed prisoners an all-vegan diet. Please don’t do this, I urge you to look into this issue a bit. You are a real voice for justice in the world please don’t Don’t this...our opponents will use it everywhere to destroy what you have done. Trust me, it’s not an ego thing, it’s a respect for indigenous peoples thing— Terrence Daniels (Captain Planet) (@Terrence_STR) October 31, 2019 I hate to break the news to u Pamela but this is the quintessential cultural appropriation that people are not liking. The Native head dress. Not so cool. 😜👻— Tamara Venus Star (@tvenusstar) November 1, 2019 This is really disappointing & racist Pam, I thought you were better than this.— Scream of The Butterfly (@odetomedusa) November 1, 2019 "Please don't do this," reads one tweet, "it's a respect for indigenous peoples thing." Other commenters used the hashtag #culturenotcostume to make their point. Another tweet reads "this is the quintessential cultural appropriation that people are not liking." Other tweets call out Anderson for being a "racist." Damn she looks good.— Ms. Understood, RN (@TDsVoice) November 4, 2019 Still Smokin' hot!— MRJ (@MileHighMark) November 4, 2019 Wow! Looking good!— Brad Michaels (@BMichaelsShow) November 4, 2019 Of course, there are still other Twitter users whose complimentary comments didn't mention the headdress at all. "Still smokin' hot!" reads one tweet from a fan. There are stories everywhere. If you spot a newsworthy event in your city, send us a message, photo, or video @NarcityCanada on Twitter and Instagram.
