There may be some Royal blood coming to Canada, and not just for a visit. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are considering making the move to Canada. While it isn't as unusual as announcing a move to the United States, Canada is part of the Commonwealth after all, when was the last time you heard of a royal leaving the UK?\nUsWeekly confirmed through a source that “Meghan and Harry have considered moving to Canada, as it’s part of the Commonwealth." It makes sense that the couple would want to make their lives as normal and private as possible. Especially now with the battle the couple is facing against the media.\nSince the birth of their son Archie, the family has been living in the countryside outside of London at Frogmore cottage.\nIf they do decide to move to Canada, this wouldn't be new territory for Markle. She spent seven years in Toronto filming her show Suits. As for Harry, while he's never permanently lived in Canada, he's made many visits, especially when he started dating Markle.\nView this post on Instagram The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and baby Archie met Archbishop Desmond Tutu and his daughter, Thandeka, this morning as they continue their #RoyalVisitSouthAfrica 👋 They met to discuss the work of the Desmond & Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation, which was founded in Cape Town in 2013. The Foundation contributes to the development of youth and leadership, and facilitates discussions about social justice and human purpose. In 2015, in recognition of the Archbishop Tutu’s services to UK communities and international peace, The Duke of Sussex presented The Archbishop with the "Insignia of an Honorary member of The Order of the Companions of Honour" on behalf of The Queen. Her Majesty has met Archbishop Tutu many times over the course of her reign including in 1995, 2004 and 2013. Follow @sussexroyal for more. If privacy and countryside is their vibe, then we're thinking Toronto may not be the place they want to raise Archie. Although, Markle would probably love living close to friends and family again, like the Mulroneys!\nRight now, the source says that moving to Canada, "is an option" that they're considering for the future. Nothing has been set in stone.\nView this post on Instagram In Tembisa, Johannesburg, today The Duke and Duchess visited to meet young entrepreneurs at the YES hub - a hive for creativity and social enterprise. Their visit was an amazing tour of the ingenuity and opportunity – seeing businesses that varied from food to essential sanitary products for local women. During their visit, they were able to sample food from ‘Chef Mish’ - a local masterchef winner - which he makes at the site as part of his catering business and cafe. They then joined YES community members to take part in training and tests that will help them gain skills and find work. On the third stop today, entrepreneur Moss showed The Duke and Duchess the organic produce he's growing in the township with aquaponics - supplying local restaurants. And finally, The Duke and Duchess met the women behind the amazing Blossom Care Solutions - who are making 80,000 sanitary pads every month for women in their community. They are 100% compostable, and provide an essential low-cost product for women and girls. The Duchess has long campaigned on this issue and wrote in Time magazine in 2017, saying: “In communities all over the globe, young girls’ potential is being squandered because we are too shy to talk about the most natural thing in the world. To that I say: we need to push the conversation, mobilize policy making surrounding menstrual health initiatives, support organizations who foster girls’ education from the ground up, and within our own homes, we need to rise above our puritanical bashfulness when it comes to talking about menstruation.” • See our previous post to see The Dukes speech #RoyalVisitSouthAfrica Photo ©️ PA images A post shared by The Duke and Duchess of Sussex (@sussexroyal) on Oct 2, 2019 at 5:26am PDT\nWhat would moving to another country mean for the Royals? Right now, because of the Commonwealth, Queen Elizabeth is Sovereign of the parliamentary democracy and is the only one that has any authority in the country, and even that power is slight.\nWe'll just have to be on the lookout for the upcoming royal announcement and any new info on what a move to Canada could mean for the family!
