While some people choose to hop on a plane and jet off somewhere warm for the holidays, others prefer to brave the cold and enjoy a white Christmas, and celebrities are no exception. Most recently, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Canada visit allowed the duo to spend some time relaxing in our beautiful country.\nBefore she married into the royal family, Markle spent her fair share of time in Canada and even lived in Toronto for some time while she was filming Suits.\nNow that she's a wife, mother, and royal figure, the former actress spends most of her time across the pond, but because Canada is a Commonwealth country, she and her little family still make it a point to visit every now and then.\n2019 was a rough year on the former Suits star. She may have given birth to a beautiful baby boy, but she also faced near-constant bullying and criticism from the British tabloids, adding an extra layer of stress to her and Prince Harry's life.\nAs horrible as the drama was, it persuaded the royal couple to spend their holiday season in Canada, which is very good news for those of us overseas who love the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.\nPrince Harry and Meghan return to royal duty at Canada's London HQ https://t.co/xFurPu81zy— Suzy Pereira 🐝 (@SuzyLovesNiallx) January 7, 2020\nPrince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex view a special exhibition of art by Indigenous Canadian artist Skawennati in the Canada Gallery during their visit to Canada House in thanks for the warm Canadian hospitality and support they received during their recent stay in Canada🇬🇧 pic.twitter.com/bvbZkMn7TH— VALERIE VAL Monarch & Republic (@ValeMonarRepubl) January 7, 2020\nDuring their stay, Markle and Prince Harry spent some time with the retired actresses' best friend, Jessica Mulroney in Toronto.
