It's been over a decade since Superbad first came out, but apparently the film is still very relevant. Just a few days ago, a 20-year-old man in Iowa was arrested for possession of a fake ID. As much as people like to deny it, fake IDs really aren't that uncommon, so this shouldn't be big news. What stood out about this case, though, was that the ID was an exact replica of McLovin's from Superbad. Teen arrested with fake "McLovin" ID caught Seth Rogen's attention.\nThe 20-year-old from Iowa is named Daniel Alfredo Burleson, and when an officer spotted him with a drink in his hand at a bar last Friday and confronted him about it, Burleson admitted to drinking alcohol but refused to show the officer any ID.\nBurleson was then taken out of the bar, where he showed officers his real ID, which confirmed that he was underage. When asked to see his fake ID, Burleson denied having one, but while he was thumbing through his wallet, police caught sight of an ID from Hawaii with the name McLovin and DOB 06/03/1981.\nWhen he was confronted about the Hawaii ID, Burleson admitted that he purchased it on Amazon, and according to police, he was visibly intoxicated, had slurred speech, and watery eyes.\nView this post on Instagram #mclovin #mcloving #mclovinid #ids #credenciales #peliculagenial #love #coketacoketo A post shared by COKETACOKETO (@coketacoketo) on Sep 20, 2017 at 7:12am PDT\nBurleson was arrested that same night, charged with public intoxication, possession of a fake ID, possession of alcohol while underage, and being in a bar after 10 p.m. while underage.\nAlthough Burleson's night definitely didn't go as planned, things aren't all bad - news of his fake ID arrest got around to Superbad star Seth Rogen, and it sounds like he's pretty proud.\nMy work here is done. https://t.co/OxlR08Re8u— Seth Rogen (@Sethrogen) October 16, 2019\nIt was between that and Muhammad— Finn Wolfhard (@FinnSkata) October 16, 2019\n"My work here is done," Rogen tweeted on Wednesday morning after reading an article about the incident. Fellow Canadian actor Finn Wolfhard also got in on the Superbad humour, replying, "It was between that and Muhammad," to Rogen's tweet.\nThere are stories everywhere.
