Look out, Ron and Hermoine—a new couple is taking over Hogwarts. While they’re in quarantine together, Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have shared with fans that they’re using their time off from their hectic schedules to binge-watch the entire Harry Potter series from start to finish.

The couple went live on Instagram over the weekend to give an update on how they’ve been handling this difficult time. In between updates, they were also kind enough to put on a concert as a part of the Global Citizen Together at Home series.

The duo sang “Lost in Japan” by Mendes, Cabello’s “Havana”, and of course, they performed their hit single, ”Senorita”, which came out back in 2019.

During the live stream, Mendes shared that he’s been a long time member of the Potterhead crew, and he’s been using the quarantine to share his love for the Harry Potter franchise with his girlfriend.

When asked who her favourite character is, Cabello replied, “Luna Loveneggle”, but fans inferred that she mixed up the names and actually meant Luna Lovegood.

While on the topic of Harry Potter, both Mendes and Cabello revealed that they both feel like they would fit in best in the house of Gryffindor.

"I think you're in Gryffindor too. I actually definitely think you're in Gryffindor. I mean that from the bottom of my heart," Cabello said to her Canadian boyfriend.

Since they’re spending so much time together, it’s easy to assume that the pair is working on some new collaborations, but that may not be the case.

All that was revealed during the IG Live is that Mendes is currently working on some solo stuff that’s “pretty magical”, according to Cabello.

The couple has been dating for quite some time now, and in more recent months they’ve kept their relationship relatively private. Earlier this year the “If I Can’t Have You” singer made a trip out to the UK for his girlfriend’s birthday.

The couple also spent New Year’s Eve in Mendes’ home country, where they were spotted making out at a Toronto restaurant before celebrating the big holiday.
