Say what?! How dare anyone lay a finger on our Canadian sweetheart, Shawn Mendes. I have seen squirrels on the side of the street that are more threatening than this angel. So I was surprised as you are to hear that one of Drake's bodyguards had no problem ruffling his feathers. via @shawnmendes But what happened? Well, Shawny was paying a visit to our friend Jim Fallon over in New York and when they sat down for a chat, Shawn detailed the night he went to go see The Weeknd in concert at the ACC. Shawn was on a riser with some other Toronto celebs - Drake included - to watch the Scarborough native give an amazing show. via @shawnmendes Having met Drake a couple times, Shawn thought it would be okay to go over and tap the super star on the side. But just as he reached out, he was snatched by a 6'6 300 pound bodyguard and got his arms pinned behind his back. "I was completely at his mercy," says a stressed Mendes, subtly dropping one of his song titles (I see you). Shawn claims he looked to the Toronto superstar, his eyes pleading "Help me Drake." via @champagnepapi As soon as Drake looked over and pieced together that his bodyguard had not snatched an over-eager fan, but SHAWN MENDES he rushed over and told him to let him go. Thank God Drake recognized the Pickering singer otherwise who knows how ugly the scene could've gotten!
