If you were tuned into the world of entertainment back in the early '00s, then you know how iconic it was when Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake stepped out in all jean outfits. They revamped the legendary "Canadian tuxedo." Now, this Ontario native put a northern spin on her own outfit and is crediting the two pop stars. Shay Mitchell's recent Instagram photo wearing a new Canadian outfit is so iconic.
She posted a photo of herself wearing a raincoat like a jacket, except it was entirely made out of denim. She captioned the post, "Is Canadian raincoat a thing 🤷🏽♀️ this look brought to you by reusable tumblers, and jacket inspo a la Britney and Justin."
The Canadian tuxedo usually consists of an oversized jacket and jeans. However, Mitchell isn't the first one to bring back the trend since Spears and Timberlake.
Kendall Jenner was also recently sporting an entirely jean outfit. As part of , he posted a photo of the model wearing a cropped jean jacket and fitted jean skirt.
He also made the photo caption a tribute to the Great White North, "The Canadian tux is shook."
Kim Kardashian has also been spotted out and about recently.
