When you think of meeting your favourite celebrity, it's easy to imagine yourself getting a little bit star-struck — in fact, even celebrities get star-struck from time to time too. Take Simu Liu and Justin Bieber's first meeting for example. Liu was so excited to meet his fellow Canadian that he had to share the moment with his Instagram followers.

Most Canadians are familiar with Bieber because he's been a household name for so long, but more recently, Chinese-Canadian actor Simu Liu has also been earning a lot of media attention.

The 30-year old was born in Harbin, China but later immigrated to Canada where he was raised in Erin Mills. Liu didn't initially pursue acting — he studied finance and accounting at the University of Western Ontario and Ivey Business School.

After being laid from his job as an accountant, the Kim's Convenience star explored a few other options before settling on acting. He had several small roles in TV shows like Warehouse 13Beauty and the Beast, and Heroes Reborn over the years.

Liu's first big break was the role of Faaron in the show Taken and since then, he's become a pretty well-known celebrity here in Canada and around the world.

Canadian celebs are fewer in number than American, so seeing them band together and hang out is always super awesome. Most recently, Liu got the chance to meet none other than Canadian pop star Justin Bieber, and he had to post about it on Instagram.

The two shared a quick convo where Liu introduced himself as a fellow Canadian. Bieber shared that he was from Stratford to which Liu replied, "Yeah I know it! We used to go to the theatre festival."

Bieber then ended the conversation, saying that he had to go snap some photos, but not before Liu wished him good luck with everything.

The interaction was honestly pretty hilarious, and the actor added the hashtags "#basicallybestfriends #hesagoodkid" to the photo to let people know that he's also a fan of the Biebs.
