This Famous Actress Just Quit "Roseanne" After Roseanne Barr's Racist Twitter Rant
Celebrities are ripping Roseanne apart for this.

Wanda Sykes announced today that she'll be leaving the hit sitcom "Roseanne". The news broke shortly after Roseanne Barr posted an alarming racist message on Twitter, which she's since taken down. Wanda Sykes has been working on the show as a producer, and revealed to the public that she won't be returning for season two.
The "Roseanne" reboot is smashing network ratings and continues to break records for its unprecedented amount of viewers. Now, it's getting even more public attention -- for all the wrong reasons.

Early this morning, Roseanne posted the following tweet -- "muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby=vj." The tweet was directed at Barack Obama's former advisor, a black woman named Valerie Jarrett. The tweet immediately caused a major stir on social media, prompting her to delete it and apologize.
"I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks. I should have known better." She sent another tweet which said, "I apologize. I am now leaving Twitter."
I apologize to Valerie Jarrett and to all Americans. I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks. I should have known better. Forgive me-my joke was in bad taste.

Unfortunately, leaving Twitter isn't stopping Wanda Sykes from leaving the show. Wanda simply stated that she "will not be returning" to the show, and sources say it's because she and Valerie Jarrett are good friends.
Roseanne Barr is one of the few celebrities who has publicly supported President Trump. Tons of celebrities are responding to Roseanne's ugly tweet, urging ABC Television, the network that airs the sitcom, to take a stand.
You have a black grandchild on your show. What do you think of her and what will you say to her. Just ignorant! I won’t be watching re runs or anything from you ever again!!! https://t.co/v10iWe3TIG

.@ABC, how desperate are you to profit from Roseanne’s racism? We know racism sells in this country, it always has. But you don’t have to participate in it. This apology is meaningless. Cancel Roseanne. https://t.co/gpbslQZbJX

you can take @RoseanneOnABC out of racism but you can’t take the racism out of @therealroseanne ... https://t.co/sJs7Hn5zrn

Wanda is the second person to leave the show recently. Executive producer Whitney Cummings announced earlier this month that she's leaving the show because of her busy schedule of other projects.
Valerie Jarrett has yet to respond to Roseanne's comment. The network has yet to address the issue and their plan of action, if any, going forward.
