The Leafs have been a hot topic in the sports world considering their serious run for this season's playoffs. Though it's one player, in particular, that is lighting up the sports media world this morning, and no it's not Auston Matthews. It's actually Matt Martin! @mapleleafsembedded via Toronto's favourite goon surprisingly showed off his softer side over the weekend after he proposed to his longtime girlfriend Sydney Esiason who is a WFAN host as well as the daughter on Jets quarterback Boomer Esiason. The pair were in Distillery District with their dog when he got down on one knee and luckily someone caught it on camera for Esiason to post on Instagram! Esiason paired the adorable video with this sweet caption: "Chirped him so hard about ruining a surprise party last night and then today he fooled me completely. Jax your parents are getting married! I can’t wait to spend forever with you babe! I love you." @sydneyesiasonembedded via The pair have been together since 2013 so Leafs fans are definitely excited for the pair to finally tie the knot.
