This Major Character Is Leaving "The Walking Dead"
Is the show over?!
After eight seasons of "The Walking Dead", it seems that the show will unfortunately never be the same, as devasting news just broke for all TWD fans.
According to Us Weekly Magazine, Andrew Lincoln, who plays the main character of Rick Grimes, is only slated to appear in six episodes of the ninth season and will not be returning to "The Walking Dead" after that.
Sources say that Lincoln, 44, wants to leave because "he's had enough of it and wants to focus his energy on movies." Furthermore, insiders have said that Lincoln's co-star Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl Dixon, negotiated at $20 million deal to stay on the show.
So what lies ahead of Rick Grimes? This is what Lincoln told Entertainment Weekly:
“I think there is always going to be a sense of he’s lost all of the most important parts of himself, and yet he has the legacy and gift that Carl gave him that is going to fuel his ambitions for the future. He’s got a renewed purpose because of this and because of his son. So it’s absolutely a new man. This is the man who couldn’t see what Deanna saw about the future and still couldn’t see it for a long, long time even throughout all of this and the battle he was hell-bent on vengeance.”
So what will happen for season 10 of "The Walking Dead"? We don't know... but I guess we'll have to check out nine first to find out.
"The Walking Dead" will return AMC in the fall.
