The drama continues! It’s been a crazy year for Canadian NBA star Tristan Thompson. Since his whirlwind relationship with Khloé Kardashian came to an end the athlete has been laying relatively low, but now he’s wrapped up in another scandal.

Recently, Us Weekly obtained court documents from a libel lawsuit that Thompson filed against Kimberly Alexander, a woman who claims that he is the father of her 4-year-old son.

In the documents, the 29-year-old called Alexander, “a wannabe social media influencer and pornographic model/performer who is so desperate to achieve her 15 minutes of fame that she recently fabricated a false claim that [he] is the father of her nearly 5-year-old son.”

Thompson also explained that, although he doesn’t believe that he’s the father, he made the decision to go to a “reputable, accredited DNA lab” to take a paternity test earlier this year.

The results from the lab revealed that the Cleveland Cavaliers' power forward is not the father of Alexander’s child.

Marty Singer, Thompson’s attorney defended his client saying, “Alexander has persisted in publicly proclaiming that Thompson is her child’s father and she has maliciously accused Thompson of being a deadbeat dad, ‘neglecting’ and failing to take financial responsibility for the child since birth. Such statements are absolutely false and are defamatory per se.”

According to Us Weekly, Singer also claims that Alexander is refusing to accept the results of the DNA test and that she “falsely accused Thompson and others allegedly acting on his behalf, including Khloé Kardashian, the mother of Thompson’s daughter, of manipulating the results.”

The Toronto born star is seeking an unspecified amount of damages to be paid to him from Alexander and is asking for a trial by jury.

Earlier this month, TMZ reported that, despite the rumours swirling around, Kardashian is not currently expecting another child with Thompson.

The exes have reportedly been seeing one another more frequently over the past few weeks as they spend time with their 2-year-old daughter, True.

Hopefully Alexander’s allegations don’t stir up too much trouble as they navigate their relationship as co-parents!
