If you've ever wondered how Cheryl Blossom has such amazing skin when you're watching the Archie Comics drama, it all starts with an impressive 38-step beauty routine. Riverdale's Madelaine Petsch shared that she always travels with an essential oil from Vancouver and she does most of her makeup on the show.

The 25-year-old actress teamed up with Vogue to share a 17-minute long YouTube video about her skincare regimen. She spent nearly half of the video applying products to her face before cracking into the artistic makeup side.

The very first thing she did was light a candle that she travels with. Then she went into an iceball face massager to depuff her face. After that came toner, eye cream, vitamin C serum, sunscreen, moisturizer, and another eye cream.

"I am a firm believer that there's no such thing as too much skincare," Petsch said. "But there is such thing as too much makeup so I think if you take care of your skin well, you won't need as much makeup."

After a little bit of primer and neck cream, the actress got into her "little weird" perfume routine. She said that normally she would travel with a perfume bottle but she recently got into rose oil and wears that on her neck and wrists instead.

She then showed another product and said, "I also travel with this amazing essential oil roll-on that I got in Vancouver. This is the lotus scent and I just put it on my temples and it just calms me down. I also travel with this in my purse often, it smells really good, so if I just want a little touch-up, I can throw some of this on."'

Petsch was born in Washington but comes from parents who were raised in South Africa so she spent the first decade of her life living between the two places.

In the video, she emphasized the importance of sunscreen noting that both her parents have sunspots from so much time in the South African sun.

You know her Riverdale character for her iconic bright red matte lips but there's more that goes into it than a swipe of lipstick.

The actress uses a lip-shaped exfoliator to bring the blood to the surface then follows with a lip mask, and puts on lipstick at the end of her routine.

However, she also mentioned that "I don't typically wear lipstick in real life which I find really weird, and I think it's because of Cheryl, but I will reach for a red sometimes."

On the makeup side of her routine, Petsch applied a pencil eyeliner, neutral eyeshadow, eyelash primer, CC cream, concealer, mascara, blush, beauty mist, highlighter, and a brow pencil and gel.
