We Didn't Think Ariana Grande's New Tattoo Could Get Any Weirder, But It Just Did
Ariana Grande showed off her "fixed" tattoo on Instagram Stories, but the translation is even worse than "small charcoal grill."
Poor Ariana Grande. She just wanted a little tattoo to celebrate her hit 7 Rings, but her latest ink venture has turned into a whole THING. Last night, Ariana shared the latest changes to the tattoo on the palm of her hand. Despite adding more Japanese characters, the English translation is still way WAY off. If you thought "small charcoal grill" was strange, wait till you hear what Ariana Grande's new tattoo says now.
Earlier this week, commemorating the success of her latest hit, 7 Rings. Fans were quick to inform her that, instead of spelling out "7 Rings," her tattoo actually read shichirin. In English, shichirin translates to "small charcoal grill." Oops. But, Ariana embraced the mistake.
In a since-deleted Tweet, Ariana wrote: "Indeed, I left out ‘つの指,' which should have gone in between. It hurt like f**k n still looks tight. I wouldn't have lasted one more symbol lmao. But this spot also peels a ton and won't last so if I miss it enough I'll suffer thru the whole thing next time." She then added: "also….huge fan of tiny bbq grills." It seemed like Ariana was going to just live with the error.
Then, last night, Ariana revealed the "fixed" tattoo on Instagram Stories. We give you an A for effort, Ari, but unfortunately, the ink still isn't quite right. A professional translator told LAD Bible the tattoo now reads: "BBQ grill finger." Yikes. Will Ariana Grande's tattoo nightmare never end?!
