Here's What The Cast Of 'Mean Girls' Looks Like 15 Years Later
Gretchen Weiners hasn't aged a day.
If you don't like feeling incredibly old, we've got some bad news for you - you're about to. It was 15 years ago today, April 30th that the iconic film Mean Girls was released. I was only 5 when the movie was released, but it definitely has become a defining memory of my adolescence over the years. If you think that you've changed since then, just wait until you see what the cast of Mean Girls looks like in 2019.
Some of these actors have definitely kept things lowkey over the years, like Mr. Duvall and Damian, while others like Regina George and Karen Smith have stayed in the spotlight, moving onto other big roles. Take a look for yourself, and see just how much the past decade and a half has aged these stars:
Lindsay Lohan // Cady Heron
Lindsay Lohan's life has definitely been a rollercoaster since the Mean Girls days. She went on to star in Herbie Fully Loaded, Just My Luck, and Scary Movie 5, among others. Lohan has also received several DUI arrests, as well as drug possession and theft charges.
Rachel McAdams // Regina George
She may have played a queen bee in mean girls, but Rachel McAdams doesn't love the spotlight as much as Regina. She's not active on social media, and it's incredibly hard to hunt down recent photos of her since she became a mom in 2018. Other movie's she starred in include The Time Traveller's Wife and Wedding Crashers.
Tina Fey // Ms. Norbury
After not only acting in, but also writing Mean Girls, Tina Fey has gone on to work on many other projects including 30 Rock, Saturday Night Live, and The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.
Tim Meadows // Mr. Duvall
Meadows has appeared in several films since Mean Girls, including The Benchwarmers, Grown Ups, and Trainwreck. He also voices the character Mike on Bob's Burgers. He keeps a relatively low profile on social media but takes plenty of photos with fans.
Amy Poehler // Mrs. George
Mean Girls isn't the only project that Poehler teamed up with Fey for. The two have collaborated on Baby Mama, hosted the Golden Globes together, and will star in Netflix's upcoming film Wine Country. She has two sons with her ex-husband, Will Arnett.
Lacey Chabert // Gretchen Weiners
I honestly think that Lacey Chabert could play a high school student now and get away with it - she really hasn't aged a day. After Mean Girls she continued to voice the role of Eliza Thornberry, and acted in Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. She was married in 2013, and gave birth in 2016.
Lizzy Caplan // Janis Ian
Mean Girls led to Caplan taking on many iconic roles throughout the years. She starred in True Blood, New Girl, and Masters of Sex, among other things. She dated Matthew Perry for six years, and shortly after the couple split she began dating Tom Riley, who she married in 2017.
Daniel Franzese // Damian
Since his hilarious role as Damian, Franzese has gone on to continue pursuing comedy, doing regular stand up. He also has appeared in Conviction and Looking, and he has become an ambassador for the LGBTQ+ community since coming out in 2014.
Jonathan Bennett // Aaron Samuels
Oh, Aaron Samuels. You can't say you didn't have a little bit of a crush on Jonathan Bennett back in the day! He went on to appear in Cheaper by the Dozen 2, and on Dancing with the Stars. Bennett also reprised his role as Aaron Samuels for Ariana Grande's Thank u, Next music video. He came out in 2017 and is in a committed relationship.
Amanda Seyfried // Karen Smith
Amanda Seyfried also hasn't changed much since her days of telling the weather with her boobs. Since Mean Girls she's been in films like Dear John, Mamma Mia, and Les Mis, just to name a few. She married Thomas Sadoski in 2017, and has since welcomed a daughter.
