Dogs > babies!
I think we can all agree that dogs are the best animals that ever existed on this planet. There's a reason they're called a man's best friend. We really consider them our best friends in the whole world.
If you're lucky enough to have one of your very own furry friends, you know how truly wonderful it is.
They're always waiting for you when you come home, they jump up and down with joy when they see you, even if it's only been a couple hours. they love spending time with you doing the most mundane tasks like sweeping the floors!
Millennials are choosing dogs over having children, according to a recent study.
Millennials are a generation that is probably one of the most misunderstood. A lot of people believe that the problems we complain about are over-exaggerated and aren't as bad as other generations have had in the past, but this actually couldn't be further from the truth. The millennial generation is one of the largest, have one of the highest percentages of unemployment, and have a huge amount of debt from school.
While all of these things may be kind of sad, one statistic from a recent Canadian study is sure to put a smile on your face!
A site called Rover.com dug up some data on how Canadians view their dogs and it revealed some pretty amazing statistics! According to their study, 44% of millennials see their pets as a surrogate to children. This means that almost half of millennials are choosing to own a dog instead of having kids, which is pretty great!
They also revealed some other interesting statistics including the fact the 94% of Canadian pet parents see their dogs as members of the family and 28% of dog names are decidedly human! Clearly, dogs are just as important to us as children and family members because we love them like they're our own.
It's also shown in their study that millennials are more likely to meet a dog who shares their name which is completely adorable! Imagine meeting a pup that shares a name with you.
The Rover is a website that's dedicated to people who love dogs and they're all about sharing heartwarming photos and stories of dogs and their owners being completely adorable!
