The fucking bikini body. What we would all do to have one. 

After feeling like I needed a change, and needed to get my ass up off the couch, I decided to buy a new 'trendy' training guide to motivate me. I feel like those keep you on track because you know exactly what to do each day of the week. And this girl loves structure. So I opted for Sarah's Day e-book called Sweat It To Shred It

This Australian YouTubers training program is over 8 weeks, and her motto is simple: listen to your body. These exercises can be done at home or at the gym, but you only need your body as your equipment!

Weeks 1, 2, 3 

The first three weeks there are 4 days of working out. The goal of these workouts is to feel like you're not working out. 

The week begins with a HIIT style workout, which goes on for 30 minutes. PSA: Do not do this workout for the first time at a cottage in the blistering heat while on an empty stomach. And hungover. Just trust me on this. 

The second day of the program is must less cardio. The exercises are much more relaxed, but they're used to tone your body. You do one minute without stopping four times in a row. Don't worry, unlike HIIT while you're hungover, this one passed super fast with a yoga mat in front of the TV. It's also 30 minutes long. 

Friday is the third day of working out and it's challenge day. Week 1 is 10 minutes of intense abs (so now we know how Sarah gets her killer abs). The challenge changes every week, and at week 3 you take a pack of cards (each sign = one exercise) and you must do the reps on each card that you pull. Ouch!

Saturday is activity day, which Sarah says is either a swim, a long walk, rock climbing, or something to get your body moving.

Week 4 

Now this is where things get tough! You now move onto 5 days of exercising which is: HIIT on Mondays and Fridays, 1 session of toning on Wednesdays and an activity on Saturdays. These workouts are short, around a half hour, but you do need to make time to do it. If you're too busy at night, wake up a half hour earlier!

My opinion 

I believe this program is great for people who are short on time, and especially those who don't enjoy exercising. The workouts are super short and easy to fit into your schedule. 

After doing programs like Kayla Itsines' and Anna Victoria'sI found Sarah's a little too easy. The exercises are fun, and well distributed to allow you to take breaks when you need them. This program does not become more difficult with time, but the workouts increase as you go on to adjust to the intensity.

My results are way less intense than when I did the last two programs. I didn't change my diet (which is 80% clean, 20% treats). In 4 weeks I haven't lost any weight, but I do feel a lot better and I definitely feel firmer. My abs have definitely popped too!

I definitely recommend this program to those who want to incorporate exercise into their lives. I believe it's a great starter program, especially if you're starting from scratch. Of course, you won't get as shredded as Sarah's Day just by doing this program. But I do admire how she made this program a lifestyle program, and things you can do with your friends.
