This Stunning Coffee Shop In Ottawa Is The Most Underrated In The City
A hidden gem.
Nothing better than a hidden gem. And one that totally fits your aesthetic, too.
Usually coffee shops are decorated with light colours, brick accents, or the walls just seem to be bare. Not at The Grounds Cafe. Blue is known to be one of the most relaxing and peaceful colours, and it keeps you grounded. Not sure if this is name and colour palette is a coincidence, but we're so into it.
The Grounds Cafe is a stunning cafe that does not get enough recognition. Maybe because it's hidden out in Stittsville, but still so worth it. This cafe offers fair trade coffee that is to die for, as well as fresh meals for breakfast and lunch. They have super healthy options like a watermelon salad, made from scratch soup, and homemade sandwiches.
Did I mention they have delicious coffee? Keeping it local and organic, The Grounds Cafe uses Equator coffee and Numi teas. Their most popular drinks are London Fog and Chai Lattes, and if you've tried them, you know why.
No matter if you're going here to work, catch up with a friend, or just relax by yourself, you'll feel right at home. This beachy vibe will make you feel like you're not in Ottawa anymore, which some of us probably wish for!
If you're looking for a new and quiet coffee shop, you've found it. The Grounds Cafe is located at 5703 Hazeldean Rd and is open 7 days a week. Check out their website for more information. Enjoy!
