Summer is coming, and as always, our city has an amazing line-up of upcoming events. Popular names like Veld and Digital Dreams are returning to Toronto this year, and they're surely going to be a lot of fun as always. But have you ever considered going to a music festival outside of Toronto? There are actually quite a few of them (particularly in the East) that would be worth taking a road trip to if you're looking for a fun weekend getaway.

Pouzza Fest 2016 // Montreal, QC

Osheaga is one of the bigger names in the music festival scene. They're celebrating their 10-year anniversary this year with a mix of acts, including Bastille, Bloc Party, Disclosure, Dragonette, Flume, and many more.

IleSoniq 2016 // Montreal, QC

Aug 5-6  

IleSoniq Music Festival will take place at Parc-Jean Drapeau in Quebec. Above & Beyond, Azealia Banks, DeadMau5, Kaskade and Kieza are all set to perform. See their website for the full line up.

Heavy Montreal 2016 // Montreal, QC

Aug 5-7 

Heavy Montreal caters to fans of anything rock, punk and metal. The festival welcomes thousands of visitors a year and has hosted iconic acts like Metallica, Iron Maiden, Megadeth, The Offspring and Marilyn Manson.

Pop Montreal 2016 // Montreal, QC

Sept 21-25

Pop Montreal is a not-for-profit, 5-day international festival that showcases the work of over 400 artists from all over the world. Along with music, the event also features several visual art exhibitions, fashion shows and night parties.
