A successful TV show is one that is still revisited beyond its glory days by both loyal fans and new viewers. It's a show that can appeal individuals of all ages, regardless of the demographic it is actually intended for.

That being said, teen shows from the past could therefore be classified as successful shows, since most of them somehow managed to keep us coming back. In fact, some of them might even be more enjoyable to watch now that we're older, which is a rare thing.

To describe the following TV shows as "forgotten" would perhaps be a slight overstatement. Each one of these teen shows is iconic to some degree, so they're probably not so easy to forget about. But just in case they did slip your mind, here they are to remind you of the good ol' days:

A Different World (1987-1993)

Denise Huxtable - the original Janice from Friends.

Saved By The Bell (1989-1992)

Every girl's relationship goals as a teen could be summed up by the Zack/Kelly love story.

Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990)

Love triangles galore.

Parker Lewis Can’t Lose (1990)

The Ferris Bueller knock off that was better than the actual Ferris Bueller TV show, right?

Boy Meets World (1993-2000)

Probably the first time you ever heard of the name Topanga.

My So-Called Life (1994)

Made teen angst cool before Freaks and Geeks did.

Brotherly Love (1995-1997)

A total "boys will be boys" show.

3rd Rock From The Sun (1996-2001)

How can you say no to a show about aliens posing as humans observing other humans?

Breaker High (1997-1998)

A.K.A. the Ryan Gosling show.

Teen Angel (1997-1998)

He dies after eating a six-month old hamburger. If that isn't brilliant writing, I don't know what is.

Smart Guy (1997-1999)

Back then, T.J. Henderson was the smartest kid we knew.

Student Bodies (1997-1999)

The original Lizzie McGuire (at least when it comes to the mixing of cartoons and reality).

Buffy The Vampire Slayer (1997-2003)

Hot girl slays vampires. I'm in.

Radio Active (1998-2001)

Always had us on the lookout for the snoopy Ms. Noelle.

System Crash (1999-2001)

Always confused this show with Radioactive...

Dawson’s Creek (1998-2003)

Team Pacey > Team Dawson, right?

Freaks and Geeks (1999-2000)

Proof that James Franco was always a little bit weird.

Popular (1999-2000)

This show had one of the biggest cliffhangers of all time.

Big Wolf On Campus (1999-2002)

Basically the original Teen Wolf.

Gilmore Girls (2000-2007)

Radio Free Roscoe (2003-2006)

I feel like people either loved this show or absolutely hated it.

The O.C. (2003-2007)

The quintessential teenage drama.

One Tree Hill (2003-2012)

Leyton > Brucas. #SorryNotSorry

Laguna Beach (2004-2006)

Admit it, you were obsessed.

Basically Nancy Drew on steroids.
