Vancouver is known to have played a big role as the set location for tons of major Hollywood movies and TV shows, from Deadpool to X-Men, Riverdale to 50 Shades of Grey and many others.

So there's no surprise it's become dubbed as the "Hollywood North". So if you've ever wanted to catch a glimpse of famous actors and actresses and you live in Vancouver, you're in the right place.  

There are a ton of films and shows constantly being filmed in Vancouver, and this month is no exception. October will see several different productions taking place all across the city. Many popular shows have returned again to the city to film their latest seasons, like Riverdale and Arrow, and there are also several new movies and shows coming to Vancouver.

The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina

If you're a big Archie comics fan, you'll be happy to know that the Riverdale spinoff, The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina will also be filmed in Vancouver until December 2018 for both season one and two. The show premieres on Netflix on October 26, so check it out and see where you can spot Vancouver in the background!

Deadly Class

If you're a big fan of Lana Condor from To All The Boys I've Loved Before (which was also filmed in Vancouver), you'll be happy to know that she's back again in the city, this time to film the new show called Deadly Class. The show is about a teen who gets recruited into a high school for assassins and is based on the popular graphic novel. Benedict Wong from Doctor Strange will also be starring in this show.

Wu Assassins

This new Netflix series is a martial arts crime drama show. Wu Assassins is about a young chef who finds out that he is the last Wu Assassin and has been chosen for a mission to restore balance. We're excited to see some Asian representation in this show, which will feature Iko Uwais, Byron Mann, Katheryn Winnick and Lewis Tan.

Sonic The Hedgehog

This major video game series is being turned into a new live-action movie. Sonic The Hedgehog will feature Hollywood stars such as James Marsden, Jim Carrey and Ben Schwartz. The science fiction action film will be filming in Vancouver until mid-October. The movie will be released next year and is scheduled to be shown in theatres on November 8, 2019.

Vancouverites love Riverdale and they love that the show is filmed in their city. So you'll be happy to know that this CW show based on the Archie Comics is back in Vancouver filming their new season, and you'll have plenty of time to look for the set or the actors because they will be in Vancouver all the way until April 2019. They started filming in the city this past summer in July.

Lily Collins, the British actress and model with forever brow goals, is coming to Vancouver to star in the new film Titan. You may recognize her from many movies like Love, Rosie, The Blind Side and Mirror, Mirror. Titan will be a survivor thriller film about a musician on a quest trying to understand what happened to her sister, who was an environmental activist that was killed years ago in a forest. Since the film is set in a forest, it makes sense that it will be filming in Vancouver's lush environment.

This popular CW show has been filming in Vancouver for the past six seasons, and season seven started production in the city this past summer. The show will be filming in Vancouver until April 2018. Arrow is a superhero TV show that stars Stephen Amell and Willa Holland is also a recurring cast member, who you might recognize from her time on the 2000s show, The O.C.

This brand new CW show has chosen Vancouver to be it's filming location and is a reboot of the popular Charmed show that ran from the late 90s to mid-2000s. Charmed is about three sisters who discover that they are powerful witches after their mother's death. The show started filming in Vancouver this past summer and will continue until December.
