Ottawa Fire Is Hiring Dispatchers To Answer 911 Calls For Up To $45 An Hour

The fire department currently has up to four part-time positions open, all of which offer up to 24 hours a week.

In this role, you will be responsible for receiving emergency calls, and staying calm and collected while you dispatch the appropriate services.

According to the 2019 rates of pay for this role, you can make $34.491 to $45.989 per hour for a dispatcher position.

The job offers two types of rotating shifts, which are 10-hour day shifts and 14-hour nights.

You will need a high school degree to apply, as well as previous experience in a fire services or emergency environment.

The successful candidates will also need a valid G license with no more than six points on it, as well as some bilingual abilities.
