Metro Vancouver Is Hiring 'COVID-19 Guards' & Contact Tracers At Up To $20/Hour

Since many of us have become mini-public health experts in 2020, why not take what you know and get paid for it? In Metro Vancouver — contract tracing jobs and postings at hospital entrances are plentiful.

For example, two health authorities in B.C. have postings looking for Entrance Screeners and Contact Tracing Aides.

Fraser Health is looking for people to help out with contract tracing in Surrey.

All you need is six months of relevant experience.

It sounds like a desk job and it would include talking to people with COVID-19 to find out details about where they have been. 

There are also lots of roles at Vancouver Coastal Health, where they're looking for Entrance Screeners at many facilities.

They'll want you to have a year of experience in a "patient care or customer service environment."

You'd be greeting people and helping them and making sure that all safety and infection prevention protocols are being followed at the entrance, almost like a COVID-19 guard.
