Super. Blood. Wolf. Moon. Even if I tried I don't think I could make this celestial event sound any cooler! Ontario is going to be treated to a full lunar eclipse and the moon will look larger than usual with a rusty red tinge.

Why is there so much hype around this lunar event? We won't get to see a total lunar eclipse like this for a few years, not until May 2022. The Sun, Earth and Moon are going to align themselves just so to create an incredible display in the sky. The moon has a powerful pull on us. It's responsible for the tides and we are made of 70% water they always say! This full moon is the perfect time to be alone with your thoughts and reflect on what you've accomplished since the new year and what you hope to achieve between now and the next lunar cycle.

This total lunar eclipse is a 5-hour long event, starting around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 20 and is expected to finish in the early hours of Monday, January 21 around 3 a.m. The best time to watch the eclipse will be right around midnight when the eclipse will be at its fullest at exactly 12:12 a.m. on January 21st. Even though that's technically a Monday, you'll be staying up late on Sunday night to catch it!

It will be chilly and snowy this weekend, but it's expected to clear up in time to watch the eclipse! It's going to be very, very cold though so make sure you have your winter gear on or just make plans to watch the eclipse briefly. It's going to be so worth braving the cold! Check The Weather Network for updates.
