Air Canada Is Still Transporting COVID-19 Supplies & The Planes Look So Different
There are no seats in sight! ✈️
There’s no room for passengers in here! Air Canada is still transporting emergency medical supplies across the country and its cargo-only planes look almost unrecognizable.
Earlier this year, the airline revealed that hundreds of seats had been removed from its aircrafts so they could beamid the pandemic.
In a tweet on October 28, the company revealed it was still operating a number of cargo-only flights and shared an updated picture of one of the plane’s interiors.
In the latest image, several Air Canada crew members can be seen standing alongside the supplies and there's not a single seat in sight.
The vehicle looks almost unrecognizable, especially considering it would usually be carrying several hundred passengers!
Back in April, three aircrafts wereto transport essential COVID-19 supplies and cargo both inside Canada and beyond.
After modification, the weight capacity of each plane was 89.63 tonnes — the equivalent of nine million medical masks.
“On Oct. 24th, we proudly operated our 3,000th cargo-only flight,” confirmed the airline on Wednesday.
