If you were planning a vacation in April, May or June, there’s bad news ahead. On Monday, it was announced that Air Canada is extending their international flight suspensions, meaning that almost all of their flights will be cancelled until at least June. Air Canada’s flight cancellations are expected to affect more than 160 routes. While the airline will continue to repatriate Canadians that are stuck aboard, as well as transport cargo, they will not be providing non-essential international flights in the coming weeks. Initially, the airline had cancelled almost all international flights until the beginning of May, but this has now been extended by at least another month. According to The Canadian Press, Air Transat and Sunwing cancellations have also been extended, until May 31 at the earliest. Air Canada has yet to confirm an official date to resume flights in June.
