On Tuesday, December 22, Jason Kenney made an announcement about a change to the Alberta gathering limits. \nThe premier announced that Albertans who live alone will be allowed to attend one gathering inside another household. \nEditor's Choice: Two Passengers With A Dog Opened The Doors Of A Moving Plane & Got Out In NYC\n\n\n\n“\n\n\nBetween December 23 and December 28, single Albertans may attend one event at another household.\n\n\nJason Kenney\n\n\nHe continued to say that "during that time, households may host up to two single people for an event."\n"It will make a world of difference for single Albertans who otherwise would not be able to visit their families over Christmas," said Kenney. \nThe rest of the gathering restrictions will remain in place. Namely, gatherings are prohibited with anyone outside of your immediate household. \nSo, if you live with roommates or family members, you can't go to other homes for Christmas celebrations. \nKenney said that people need to understand and comply with the current health measures so the healthcare system isn't overwhelmed in the weeks to come. \nWe need to "avoid making Christmas a superspreader event," he said.
