We've all used Amazon for some last minute gifts or just to impulse buy a product that we want/need ASAP. Now, Amazon Canada is making instant gratification even more possible by launching Free One-Day Delivery in Ontario.  Today, 11 Ontario cities announced that they are participating in Amazon's free one-day delivery service. Menaing that shopping just got way easier for Ontarians. 

These 11 new cities will now join Toronto in the free one-day delivery that will now be available all week long, including Saturday and Sunday. Of course, those who are eligible for this service need to be a Prime member and all orders must be over $25.

The eleven Ontario cities that were announced today are:

  • Ancaster, ON
  • Brantford, ON
  • Cambridge, ON
  • Dundas, ON
  • Grimsby, ON
  • Hamilton, ON 
  • Kitchener, ON
  • London, ON
  • Paris, ON
  • Waterloo, ON
  • Woodstock, ON

Amazon Canada has also announced that both Quebec City and Victoria will also be benefitting from this one-day service. In total, there will be 19 Canadian cities that now get to participate in Prime free one-day delivery.

Country Manager for Amazon Canada Mike Strauch shares his excitement about the new announcement, "Prime represents the best of Amazon in convenience, selection and price and our ultimate goal is to continue to bring the benefits of Prime to as many Canadian customers as possible". 

With this new free one-day delivery, Amazon Canada states that all orders that are placed prior to the cut-off time will arrive by 9:00 PM the following day for absolutely no extra charge. The "cut off time" for orders depends on your location, but in Ontario, if you place your order before 11:00 PM ET, your package will arrive at your front door within 24 hours.

There are millions of items that are available for Prime one-day delivery, but just in case, check off the 'Prime Free One-Day' box in the search bar on Amazon Canada's website to ensure that the items you're browsing are eligible. 

So if you're still last minute shopping for Valentine's Day, you have until the 13th to find the perfect present.
