So I was surprised when I spotted this wolf all alone resting in a meadow,” said the post. Gara watched to see if the rest of the wolf’s pack would emerge. “Then suddenly I heard something off to my right - at first it was difficult to tell what it was but then the sound grew louder - it was howling,” said the photographer. She watched as the wolf perked her ears, listening as well. Soon, the wolf got up and made a deep, bellowing howl that sounded nothing short of beautiful. “She then stood, crossed the meadow and made her way up into the hills to rejoin her family. It was incredible to witness,” Gara wrote. Travel Alberta added a note that, “This video and photos were captured by a professional wildlife photographer with a telephoto lens. Always stay at least 30 meters away from large wildlife.” If you are a wildlife fanatic, you’re sure to get your fair share of sightings in Alberta’s great outdoors.
