Mt. Yamnuska Is Closed Indefinitely After 30-Year-Old Falls To His Death
The area is now closed until further notice.

Tragedy struck in Alberta over the weekend. Mt. Yamnuska has been closed indefinitely after two hikers were injured and one died along one of the trails.
On Saturday, July 11, Canmore RCMP responded to several calls for injury around the mountain in Kananaskis Country, including one 30-year-old man who fell roughly 20 feet from a popular trail.

Unfortunately despite all life saving measures, the 30 year old male succumbed to his injuries.

When bystanders moved to help him, several boulders fell from the slope above, striking the injured man and the helpers.
Despite bringing in the STARS air ambulance and more to help, the man passed away.
Later that same day, RCMP responded to two more unrelated hiking incidents in the area, both individuals survived.
