The holiday season is all about giving. It can be tough to make ends meet on a good day but the pressure of the holidays can add even more stress. To ensure everyone has a good holiday season, a B.C. restaurant is giving out free hot meals to anyone who needs it. The owners have posted a sign out front of their restaurant to advertise the meals and that sign has gotten hundreds of shares.

It’s not just the homeless who may struggle to find something to eat. Even people who work full time can still find it hard to make ends meet.

With all the spending that comes with the holiday season, it can be a stressful time for many. One B.C. restaurant recognizes this and wants to make sure everyone has something to eat.

In order to make this happen, Jamila’s Kitchen and Grill in Coquitlam is offering free hot meals to anyone who truly needs one. Their heartwarming "No money, no worries" sign is getting all kinds of positive responses.

“We at Jamila’s Kitchen and at Pizza Island are happy to contribute to the community members who are in need at this time of the year, this is our 3rd year in this fulfilling opportunity,” writes the restaurant's Facebook post.

The sign is large and hard to miss. It states, “No money, no worries. We love to serve our community. We will provide FREE food for those who do not have money. Please ask inside.”

It's clear from the comments that people are on board for this initiative and are applauding the business for their kind and selfless act.

It seems as though everyone has come to the unanimous decision that the world needs more places like this.

The restaurant has stated that their sign will stay out until the end of this year, but they will always offer help to anyone that needs it. All you have to do is ask.

"It is an honour to serve the community," they write.

Malik Malikzada is the owner of Jamila’s Kitchen and Grill. He told City News 1130 that his family knows firsthand what it is like to need support.

Malikzada immigrated to Canada with his wife and brother back in 2000 after leaving Afghanistan as refugees.

Malikzada is just one generous person in Canada but there are many who give back to those in need, especially in B.C.

According to GoFundMe's new world ranking for 2019, B.C. was ranked as the most generous province in all of Canada. Canada was ranked as the fourth most generous country in the world.

This is the season of giving, and Jamila's Kitchen and Grill is the ultimate reminder of that.
