BC Lottery Winner Just Got $1 Million And Can't Wait To Buy A Luxury Fridge
This guy knows how to LIVE.
If you won the lottery, what's the first thing you would do with all that cash? B.C.'s newest millionaire already knows what he wants and isn't afraid to live large. He's got his eyes set on a brand new luxury fridge.
Curtis Wright from Nanaimo, B.C. matched all ten numbers in the February 15 Lotto 6/49 draw and got a big cheque for $1 million.
While other lotto winners use their, buy a home or take their family on a bucket list vacation — this guy is all about the kitchen appliances.
In a press release from the British Columbia Lottery Corporation, Wright sounded absolutely buzzed about his upcoming big purchase.
“I have it all picked out, it’s a $16,000 fridge that I’ve wanted for a while,” he said.
Matt Lee from BCLC said to Narcity by email that the winner "wasn’t 100% sure on the make/model of fridge he wanted but knew it was listed for $16,000."
After he splashes out on the fridge, he plans to put away the rest of the winnings into savings. This could be one of the most fiscally conservative and responsible lottery winners we've ever heard of.
While one million dollars is a lot of money, it'll hardly get you a.
It's also not quite enough for you to, but it is enough for you to update your kitchen and have some pretty cushy savings.
Wright actually did play the lottery at least once a month before he won big, but this time was a little different.
He knew that the next Lotto 6/49 SuperDraw would guarantee the winner at least $1 million with more prizes up for grabs after seeing an ad.
“I went out and bought the ticket about ten or 15 minutes before the draw,” he said. The last-minute ticket was the winner.
While most of us would probably book a trip to Mexico ASAP after winning the lottery, we think it's sweet that one B.C. lottery winner is excited to upgrade their kitchen.
