A Canadian Man Has Been Charged With 3 Chilling Murders In Calgary, Here's What We Know
The man had relationships with each of his victims.
A 25-year-old Canadian man has been arrested in connection to three recent murders all in the city of Calgary. Police have arrested Dustin Duthie for killing a woman at a Calgary condo and another woman and a man at a different home in the city. The bodies were all discovered on Tuesday, July 31st.
The police charged Duthie with murder on Wednesday, August 1st and have said they aren't looking for any more suspects. They also said the killings weren't random.
Duthie, a Calgary resident, is now charged with multiple counts of second-degree murder. To make matters more chilling, he had a relationship with each of the victims.
The first victim found in the condo was Duthie's girlfriend, Taylor Toller. Evidence suggests Duthie killed her on July 25. Only days later, on July 31, he then killed his mother, Shawn Boshuck, and step-father, Alan Pennylegion.
Police discovered the victims after receiving calls requesting that they check on the residents at both the condo and the house. They then found and arrested Duthie at the condo where he was seen being escorted out of the building.
He is now being detained at Calgary's Rockyview General Hospital where he is on suicide watch. Duthie will also be evaluated by a psychologist before his next court appearance on August 8.
