Several Alberta Schools Have Already Delayed Starting Because Of COVID-19 Cases
Not everyone is going back to school this week.

It may be September 1 but it's not back-to-school for everyone just yet.
A few schools in Alberta have recorded COVID-19 cases recently. As a result, some reopenings have been delayed.

Have delayed reopening due to COVID-19
According to Prairie River Junior High, someone who has been at the school recently has contracted COVID-19 but they're not specifying whether it was a staff member, student, or visitor.
Meanwhile, the Peace River School Division has opted to delay the first day of school preventively in order to let the personnel get better acquainted with safety protocols.
As for Meadow Ridge School, a staff member is confirmed to have tested positive.
The Canadian Press also reported that an unidentified person at Canyon Meadows in Calgary tested positive for COVID-19. Although the school opened as planned, the principal, assistant principal, and the administrative secretary are quarantining following exposure.
