The holiday season always brings plenty of tradition with it, and sometimes even a few household accidents. Luckily, Canadians can get insurance to cover the cost of those accidents, but with all of Canada's insurance claims, which ones were the weirdest? Aviva Canada took a look at some of the funniest claims it received this year. By far the silliest (and possibly most adorable) claim involved a kitchen sink and a couple of kittens. While the homeowner was at work, their kittens managed to turn on the faucet, causing water damage to the floor and cabinets. It's not clear exactly how kittens could manage to turn on a faucet without opposable thumbs, but they were probably too cute to get in any real trouble. Another claim involved a less-cute animal and a rental car. After an Aviva customer got into an accident with a rental car in Mexico, he got out to check the damages. While he was taking a look, he found a big snake wrapped around the engine. The customer was fine and did not suffer any serious car or snake related injuries. It's possible that he might have started checking all of his rental cars for reptilian life, though. View this post on Instagram Loving the progress on this Enchi Leo Spotnose Het Clown! Normally that truck would be long gone, but not this time. While the customer got a ride with his friend, the two saw the stolen truck pass them on the highway. They called the police who were able to apprehend the thief and the customer got his truck back. Is that sentimental, or just kind of creepy? Finally, a customer who was having their drywall repaired greeted the hired contractor with an odd statement: the work had already been done. Apparently another drywaller working in the neighbourhood went to the wrong house. It just goes to show that a lot of strange things can happen throughout the year, and if you're not careful some of your weirdest experiences might make it onto a year-end list.
