You probably love your phone and just about everything that it does for you to make your life easier. What you probably hate is having to deal with your phone company and how much you have to pay. Well the government is now giving you a way of fighting back against them. @s.ii.n.a_embedded via Now, of course, you can’t just complain about anything like ‘my phone bill is too high I want it lowered by $50,’ and expect something to be done. But if the phone company lied to you or misled you into getting a plan where you’re paying more than you were told you would be then that is something you can report. It’s all part of a new public inquiry led by the CRTC investigating “possible misleading or aggressive" sales practices used by Canada’s phone, internet and TV companies. @maro9193embedded via This comes after many complaints from people saying they were told they would only have to pay a certain price no matter what, but then were charged another which was higher. If something like this has happened to you have to do to report is go the CRTC’s website here and tell them exactly what happened to you. Earlier this year the CRTC said that there was no need for any kind of public inquiry into the sales practices of companies that sell phone plans but changed its mind this week. @lafreyembedded via In inquiry will stop collecting stories from Canadians online on August 6 so you have until then to submit your story to the government.
