You might have laughed at Louis CK's show or sets before, but this is definitely nothing to laugh about. The New York Times published an expose yesterday about the comic - a man deeply admired and respected within his craft - that recounted tales of CK's sexual misconduct over the years in his career, all with a similar story.

In the sexual assault cases we've been hearing in the news lately, from Harvey Weinstein, to Kevin Spacey, and most recently Ed Westwick - all of the victims usually report different variations of a horribly familiar encounter.

Comedians Dana Min Goodman and Julia Wolov were invited for a drink with CK in 2002. The two immediately said yes, went up to his Aspen hotel suite, only for CK to later ask if it was okay if he "took out his penis." The two laughed at first, thinking this was just a comedic bit, but CK stripped and began masturbating in front of the female comics. The women were paralyzed with shock as CK masturbated in a char. He finished on his stomach asking, "Which one is Dana and which one is Julia?"

A year later in 2003, comic Abby Schachner was on the phone with CK when she picked up the sound of him masturbating as they spoke. Their conversations when from personal to inappropriate as CK delved in his sexual fantasies and his breath shortened. She didn't know how to get out of the conversation saying, "You want to believe it's not happening."

Another comedian, Rebecca Corry, recalled that when starring with CK in a TV pilot in 2005 CK asked if he could masturbate in front of her, to which she abruptly declined. She pointed out to CK that he had a daughter and pregnant wife. CK's face went red as he told the actress, "I have issues."

Courtney Cox and David Arquette, producers on the pilot CK and Corry appeared in confirmed the incident.“What happened to Rebecca on that set was awful,” the FRIENDS star added that she felt “outrage and shock.”

The 5th woman explained that CK repeatedly asked her to watch him masturbate while they were both working on the set of The Chris Rock Show.

CK has since cancelled an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert and the premiere of his new movie, I Love You Daddy. The New York Times notes that rumours of CK masturbating in front of associates have been going on for years. Due to CK's status and success, the various women feared their call to attention would cost them their careers. Because of the current moment of action in the entertainment industry, these women have come forward to speak up against a powerful figure "as well as the multitude of women still out there, not quite ready to share their nightmares.”
