According to a news release from Health Canada, COVID-19 vaccines in Canada are about to be scaled up so more people around the country can receive them faster. In the news release, Canada's Chief Medical Officers of Health recommended that as many people as possible get their first dose of a vaccine while extending the timing of the second dose. These unknown things include if vaccinated people can carry and spread COVID-19, how long vaccines are effective for, if current vaccines are adequate to protect against all of the variants of concern, and when kids might be able to receive doses. "Evidence will continue to guide our approaches to protect all those in Canada against COVID-19 and we will keep you informed as we learn more," they wrote.
