Drake Is Locking Down A New Trademark For His OVO Clothing Line And Here's What We Know
New Scorpion clothes are one the way!
Drake has been busy since his latest album Scorpion dropped and he doesn't show signs of stopping.
In fact, the Canadian superstar is currently in the works of locking down a trademark meaning new clothing, songs and more are on the way!
TMZ has reported that Drake is trademarking the phrase "God's Plan" which is the title of one of the tracks from his new album.
Drake is locking down the rights to use the phrase in videos and songs, more mysteriously to be used in a tv game show, and most excitingly for fans on clothing.
Drake already has one clothing line called OVO which is also the name of his record label. The name is short for October's Very Own and rose in popularity with the launch of his OVO merch.
After the success of the OVO line, it makes perfect sense that Drake is on the prowl for more merch lines, and we aren't at all surprised to see him locking down the trademark for "God's Plan" especially given the success of the song and video.
The video for God's Plan has been viewed on Youtube over 700 million times, won the BET video of the year award, and is nominated for video of the year at the MTV awards.
